After graduating from Alamo Heights High School, Dr. Hall enlisted and served three years in the Army. He then completed his Plan II undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied English and philosophy. He remained in Austin to play the banjo and fiddle in a bluegrass band in Austin and says “it was a great part of his life, but he was happy to move on to medicine”.

Dr. Hall completed his medical school and residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Upon graduation, he felt fortunate in the opportunity to take over the private practice of Dr. Cornelius Nau that he had maintained for over forty years.

He’s been married to Debbie McNabb, a retired gynecologist, for over 30 years. Dr. Hall and his wife have two children, Kate and Trevor. His interests outside of medicine include animals, gardening with native plants, and music. Click on the link below for a sample of Dr. Hall’s love of music and to see him perform with his band. He’s also kind enough to bring his special friends to work. Patients love to visit the lizard cage and turtle tank. They make frowns turn upside down!

In practice since 1990, Dr. Hall considers it an honor to be part of the lives of so many families and thinks it’s cool that he’s now able to care for a second generation from those same families.
